Day 1: Arrive Uluru – Uluru Sunset
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you’ll be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm). Travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy sparkling wine as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is famous. You’ll be overwhelmed by its incredible size, presence and inherent spirituality.
Day 2: Kata Tjuta Sunrise – Valley Of The Winds
Watch the spectacular sunrise over Kata Tjuta from the western dune viewing area. Your Driver Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk to the Valley of the Winds. Marvel at the unique flora and admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta.
Day 3: Kings Canyon
Travel to Kings Canyon and make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. Or, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed. Return to Ayers Rock Resort.
Day 4: Uluru Guided Full Base Walk – Kata Tjuta Sunset
Join your guide on the 11km walk around the entire base of Uluru from Kuniya Piti. The Mala Walk includes a visit into Kantju Gorge. At Mutitjulu Waterhole view Aboriginal rock art. This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta and take in an outback sunset while enjoying sparkling wine.
Day 5: Field Of Light – Depart Uluru
Experience acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light. Under cover of darkness, wander through 50,000 magical hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light. Later, you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight (flights to depart after 9.30am).
