A real unforgettable 24-day escorted small group tour packs an absolute punch, combining local culture with awe-inspiring natural, spiritual and historical highlights. Ideal for those who want to savor the best of the continent in an organised, safe and totally fun escorted small-group tour. Sharing your venture with a small tribe of like-minded adventurers, we invite you to soak up the delights of Santiago de Chile, surprising, cosmopolitan, energetic, sophisticated and worldly. Santiago is a city of syncopated cultural currents, expansive museums and top-flight restaurants. Continue the tour to San Pedro de Atacama. It is said that the high quantities of quartz and copper in the region gives its people positive energy, and the good vibes of northern Chile's number-one tourist draw, San Pedro de Atacama, are sky high. Travel to the world’s largest salt flat "Salar de Uyuni" in Bolivia an evocative and eerie sight, the world’s largest salt flat measures 4674 sq mi (12,106 sq km) and sits at 11,984ft (3653m). When the surface is dry, the Salar is a pure white expanse of the greatest nothing imaginable – just blue sky, white ground and you. When there’s a little water, the surface perfectly reflects the clouds and the blue altiplano sky, and the horizon disappears. If you’re driving across the surface at such times, the effect is surreal; it’s hard to believe that you’re not flying through the clouds. Discover the authenticity of La Paz, Bolivia that seems to reinvent itself at every turn. Admire the impressive Lake Titicaca that in Andean belief, Titicaca is the birthplace of the sun. Set between Peru and Bolivia, it’s the largest lake in South America and the highest navigable body of water in the world. Cast your eyes on the ancient wonder of Machu Picchu that is shrouded by mist and surrounded by lush vegetation and steep escarpments, the sprawling Inca citadel of Machu Picchu lives up to every expectation. Marvel with Cuzco, in a spectacular location, it’s the most famous archaeological site on the continent, a must for all visitors to Peru. The undisputed archaeological capital of the Americas, Cuzco is the continent’s oldest continuously inhabited city and just when you think your small-group tour couldn’t possibly get any better, dive into the deepest heart of the Amazon, for an unparalleled jungle experience. A particularly genial ‘introduction’ for first-time visitors and a fabulous add-on to further Latin America travel, the South America Mistica tour is the perfect casting-off point to this exciting and eclectic continent.
