Day 1: Arrive In Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro! At 3:30 pm, meet your Tour Director for a drive along Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. Cable-car ascent to the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain for breathtaking views and a sunset cocktail party to [LF] sample caipirinhas (the famous Brazilian rum drink).

Day 2: Rio De Janeiro.

RIO DE JANEIRO Guided sightseeing includes a scenic cog railway ride to see Christ the Redeemer statue atop Corcovado Mountain. Visit the Cathedral and see the Sambodromo, Carnival Parade location. Brazilian Churrascaria (traditional Portuguese BBQ) dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (B,D)

Day 3: Rio De Janeiro.

Day 8: Iguassu Falls–lima, Peru.

IGUASSU FALLS Guided sightseeing with a Local Guide in Iguassu National Park on the Brazilian side of the falls. Fly to Lima, Peru. LIMA Drive to your hotel. (B,L)

Day 9: Lima.

LIMA Guided sightseeing includes the Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace, Cathedral, and San Francisco Monastery. [LF] This evening, guided sightseeing at the Larco Herrera Museum, which houses the largest private collection of Pre-Columbian Peruvian art in the world, followed by dinner at the museum. (B,D)

Day 10: Lima–cusco–sacred Valley.

LIMA Fly to Cusco. SACRED VALLEY Guided Sightseeing by a Local Guide at the semi-circular Kenko Amphitheater and the ancient site of Puca Pucara followed by an [LF] El Pago a la Tierra (Mother Earth Ceremony) with local shaman. Free time for shopping in the old mountain village of Pisac with its famous market. (B,D)

Day 11: Sacred Valley–machu Picchu.

SACRED VALLEY Guided sightseeing with a Local Guide to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo. Visit to a [LF] local Peruvian home. Scenic ride on the Vistadome train through the Urubamba Valley. Day 12: Machu Picchu–cusco.
